Sparkasse Bank Malta plc is a licensed credit institution that provides private banking, investment services and custody / depositary services.

We are presently seeking to recruit a trustworthy and proactive individual to join our Human Resources Department.

The position is mainly focused on the administrative duties within the Human Resources Department and entails a high degree of confidentiality.


Main Duties of the role:
 
  • Handle the day-to-day administrative operations of the HR Department;
  • Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the HR Manager;
  • Create and maintain employees’ records;
  • Handle the onboarding and offboarding cycles;
  • Assist with the induction of new employees;
  • Submission of forms to Jobsplus and the Commissioner for Tax & Customs;
  • Assist in drafting job descriptions;
  • Assist with applications for work permits of Third Country National candidates;
  • Assist in drafting and updating the Bank’s Employee Handbook and the HR policies and procedures;
  • Responsible of the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting on selected platforms, screening of Curricula Vitae, coordinating interviews and communications with candidates, liaise with recruiters;
  • Liaise with stake holders for feedback, etc.;
  • Update the Sick and Vacation Leave system;
  • Assist with the planning and organization of annual training for staff;
  • Maintain the official Training Log of the Bank;
  • Maintain the training files up to date;
  • Assist with data input of monthly payroll;
  • Assist with Health & Safety duties.

Qualifications/Requirements:
 
  • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role, preferably within the banking industry;
  • A relevant diploma/certificates or higher qualifications;
  • Knowledge of Maltese Employment Laws is considered an asset;
  • Experience with TCN work permit applications is considered an asset;
  • Excellent English written and oral communication;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of Shireburn Indigo is considered an asset;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Mature and able to observe strict confidentiality at all time;
  • Willing to learn new duties within the HR area.
